Business Travelers, Find Out Which Airlines Treat You Right

While Thanksgiving week might be the busiest travel time for families, business travelers fly the not-always-friendly skies all 52 weeks of the year. So, which airline should you give your hard-earned travel dollars to? The folks at Business Travel News have the answer.

First off, Delta nabbed the top spot for an almost unbelievable ninth straight year, edging out United Airlines. While United is narrowing the gap, Delta still scores highest in every category BTN surveyed, including value, complaint resolution, and every single pricing category. One business traveler told BTN “Delta Air Lines is top-notch, they treat all business travelers with care and put programs in place to continue to make travelers feel important.” That’s a pretty great review!

United Airlines has made great strides, and is nipping at Delta’s heels. According to BTN, “United was the only carrier to improve its score year over year in every single category. After several years of a close head-to-head battle with American Airlines, United distanced itself from its competitor by more than three-tenths of a point.”

Those of us watching our pennies are probably wondering how discount airline Southwest scored. Overall, they came in fourth behind Delta, United, and American Airlines. The company did especially well in complaint resolution. They’re also working hard on expanding their service to Hawaii. Southwest executives told BTN that eventually the budget carrier “would like to develop an international network via interlines and codeshares with partners in Europe, South America, and Asia.” That’s great news for budget travelers who have to travel internationally for business.
