I am proud to have a great team working for me at VersaTel Solution. Last month, we introduced you to our first Employee of the Month, Sandy Glotfelty. This month, we’re pleased to introduce you to Jennifer Brown, part of our Administrative team, and our E.O.T.M. for December. Jennifer has been on my team for almost a year, and she’s a smart worker who’s also easy to get along with. Please read on to get to know Jennifer.
Where do you live? Fairfax Station, VA
What did you do before working from home? – I was a fitness Instructor and former high school special education teacher
What made you decide to work from home? – A friend was working for VersaTel and it seemed like a good fit. I was already home with my kids and could find the time while they were in school.
Why did you choose to work for VersaTel Solutions? – It fell into my lap at the right time. It sounded like a great opportunity and I loved the flexibility that came with it.
What do you like most about working for VersaTel Solutions? – The flexible work schedule and with different clients, the jobs are always different so it never gets boring.
Has working from home, especially this year been a challenge? – Now that my kids are home, it does get harder to carve out time needed to get work done but I am also in my house more than normal. I work at the dining room table while my son is doing virtual school.
What do you like to do in your spare time? – In my spare time I enjoy working out, binge watching Netflix, watching the Caps play hockey and exploring nature with my kids.
What’s a fun fact about you? – My guilty pleasure is watching cheesy Hallmark Christmas movies.
Tell us about a time you thought you wouldn’t succeed, but did – I was going to school for my masters and teaching full time while coaching a high school sport as well. Looking back I’m still not sure how I did it all.
