This week has been a challenging one for us here at VersaTel Solutions, and for the Page Family. Monita, one of our team members, and our friend, passed away Saturday after a long battle with cancer. To those who had a connection to her, she was a bright light, always cracking jokes yet always professional as well. Before moving to Texas to be with her baby sister, she lived in Sterling, Virginia, and before that, she lived in Vermont where she was the Assistant Town Clerk for the Town of Hyde Park. I met Monita when she moved to Virginia through her sister, Melody. She was working for their other sister at the time, and looking for more remote/flexible work.
We clicked from the moment we met! She was one of my first hires, and from the start was great to work with. She loved the flexibility and growth opportunities and I loved how knowledgeable she was.
Monita brought with her a consistent can-do attitude. I’m going to miss our long phone calls that always drifted from clients to our own lives. She loved to watch movies and spend time with her family, which I knew she loved so much.
